Covers the Belgian division that fought for the Germans on the Eastern Front during WW2. From the formation as a battalion to division strength, this unit fought on the Russian Front the whole time it was in action. The retreat from Russia is well documented with its surrender to the British. Commander and battle are profiled.

A good read but in reality a photocopied version of a dozen pages. Good background but a quick Google search in an hour drags up more information. Again not a book but a photocopied binder of a few facts.

Publisher's Response to Robert's Comments: This title was first published in 1988 at a time when all Merriam Press titles were being "printed" by photocopier. In 2005, all Merriam Press titles began to be converted to printing by traditional paperback/hardcover methods, which no one would ever confuse with photocopying. Therefore this review is probably based on one of those old photocopy editions. And I can guarantee you  cannot find all the information in this title on the web.

A must-have addition to the library of anyone with an interest in Germany's SS foreign legions in WWII, and especially for those who want an excellent account of the Wallonien and their dynamic commander Degrelle.
