"The third edition of this book includes the recent reorganization of the War Department; the changes in the organization of the United States Navy ashore and afloat; the reorganization of the United States Air Force; various changes and additions in Army and Navy insignia; and the addition of new ribbons of medals recently authorized.
 
"Of particular interest will be the plates showing divisional markings, the curious patches worn at the top of the left sleeve of U.S. Army uniforms. Also, the section on Foreign Decorations and Medals has been expanded to include illustrations and descriptions of English Medals recently struck for award in the Second World War.
 
"In fact, the book is brought up-to-date in every instance and contains the many changes that have been effected' recently. So I feel that this edition will be particularly valuable and of great interest to every man in the armed forces today."

    Greetings & Salutations! This book by J.W.Bunkley came out in 1917 and 1918 and later in 1941, 1942 and three editions in 1943, the best of all of them and stands above all others by various authors. It is easy to read and shows not only the U.S.Armed Forces insignia, but the auxiliaries also as well as both friendly and enemy nations.
